Cyberbullying: A Psychological Analysis

Cyberbullying is when someone harms another person by using digital technology. While this usually includes the use of a computer or a mobile phone (e.g., text-based bullying). Cyberbullying occurs mostly on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat, and others.

The frequency of cyberbullying has doubled from 2007 to 2019,1 and 59% of American youths indicate that they have been bullied or harassed online. Cyberbullying has been classified as a public health issue.
